so, basically, Sully was saying that it's alright to make decisions and not think about the consequences.  not only to not think about the consequences, but to not even consider them. . .  and there you have, distilled to one fine kernel of truth the essence of mainstream middle american idiocy. . . it always comes out as, "So i made a decision, so what?  Like I have time to sit around all day and think about what that means."  How come people get away with shit like that?. . . I mean, obviously they decided not to eat a plate full of cyanide for breakfast because there's a real consequence to that.  I guess, unless it effects them directly, they just can't be bothered.  It's kinda like asking a consumer why they consume and they respond by saying it's because they buy stuff.   Well no shit!  Why are so many people unwilling to deal with the larger more abstract ideals that come up daily in our lives?
