calling all geeks

if you've ever wondered how records are made, from beginning to end, check out this link. . . a word of warning though, the essay is 8 pages long and over 6600 words so allot some time for this, it's worth it.

well, this is a little intense for me. Don't know when I will be reading it, if ever. Interesting, but just can't concentrate on it now.
I will have to work on the manufacturing side of my geekiness, it seems.

great article, i cant stop picturing the chunks of half-molten vinylite "biscuits" on the warming plate ready to be scooped up and pressed. the bit about the sapphire cutting tip was news to me. and the poor person, whose job it is to find the exact center of a moving spiral to punch the hole...eh heh heh. thanks for givin' the tunes a listen, man. i'll post up a couple more once they're fully cooked and all gooey in the middle.
